Steven Del Duca

Steven Del Duca has lived in Vaughan for 31 years. Today, he and his wife are raising their two young daughters in Woodbridge.

They face the same challenges as the thousands of other young families who are proud to call our community home.

Since first being elected as Vaughan’s MPP in 2012, Steven has been a relentless fighter for our community.

When he saw the urgent need for more transit and road infrastructure so that people could spend less time commuting and more time with family and friends, Steven helped deliver the opening of Vaughan’s long-awaited subway. He also secured more GO train service and more GO station parking at Rutherford, and led the fight to start construction on the Highway 427 extension to Major MacKenzie Drive.

Knowing that our families deserved quality health care, closer to home, Steven secured the $1.3 billion provincial investment for the Vaughan hospital, which is now under construction and will be open in 2020.

Empathizing with the need to do more for families in our community facing the death of a loved one, Steven fought for more than $1 million in annual operating support and $2 million in capital funding so that Hospice Vaughan could start construction on their 10-bed facility near Islington and Rutherford.

Acknowledging that a vibrant public education system is at the foundation of every successful community, Steven is proud to be part of a government that has delivered four new schools to Vaughan and has made college and university tuition either free or far more affordable for thousands of local students.

And to celebrate the incredible contribution made by Vaughan's seniors -- women and men who literally built our community -- Steven fought for free prescription medication for those 65 years of age and older, which will become reality in August 2019.

Over the past six years, our community has accomplished a great deal. But there is still much to do.

Vaughan-Woodbridge needs an MPP with a proven track record of delivering positive results.

Steven Del Duca is on your side -- and he will always fight for you.
